Paper Knapkin is a melting pot of political debate, ideas, creativity, humor, the occasional (hopefully) helpful tip, and simple musings.
Often, these elements come together all by themselves. And the best ones make me giggle every time I think of them. The pair of pictures below represent an excellent example of this.
The pic on the left was taken by a Reuters photographer during a meeting at the United Nations. It captures George W. Bush writing a note to Condoleezza Rice, asking if he could use the men's room. Seriously, he wrote this note.
The image on the left is The Daily Show's reaction. As Jon Stewart put it, "At least the note he wrote at the U.N. was very diplomatic. Usually, the note reads more like this..."
Hi. My name is Alain. I created Paper Knapkin to help raise the volume on issues of the day, as well as offer some anecdotal information on other aspects of my life.
This site actually brings together some of my greatest professional passions and personal pursuits: politics, family and design (just like the banner says).
Before the career change to web design, I worked for several years in journalism as a television news producer and writer.
But I don't want to do all the writing on this site. This is a place for you to share your ideas/thoughts/expertise on various topics of interest.
Also, feel free to contact me directly at info@paperknapkin.com.
